In Service to the Community

Our priority is to create and fund neighbor-led community service projects in our own backyard.

Exceptional Riders

A first-class horse-assisted physical therapy entirely funded by our Kiwanis Division 24 clubs (South Broward).

Scholarship

Our Foundation raises funds annually to be able to aware college scholarships to high school students in our community.

Food Insecurity

Our annual Adopt-a-Turkey Thanksgiving food drive feeds 285 families a year. We also attend monthly food sorting service days at Feeding South Florida.

Adopt-a-Family

We partner annually with the Miramar Police Department to adopt local families in need of extra Santa cheer under their trees.

Christmas in July

A joint effort with all Kiwanis clubs in Broward, we bring homeless children & families to the Amerant Bank Center in Sunrise for a day of fun, and a personalized backpack with new school clothes and supplies.

Laptops for students

Our club takes old laptops and refurbishes them to gift to a rising student in need so that they can excel in their studies.

City Beautification

When we see a neighbor in need of a hand, our volunteers and student leaders roll up their sleeves to give their neighborhoods some TLC.

Student Leadership

We volunteer to mentor and work together with student leaders in the Kiwanis family, from elementary through college. Key Club is the oldest high school service organization in the country!

Serving the Needs

out our community

The great thing about Kiwanis is that we are able to address the needs of our community, whatever they may be.

If we see a need in our community, we are empowered with the tools and resources to create a project that solves or serves that need.

Our members work hard to create fun and engaging ways to raise funds for our projects and scholarships. We have done pancake breakfasts, casino nights, gift card raffles, carnivals, and golf tournaments. All funds raised stay in our community – EVERY LAST CENT! Membership dues are our only source of operating income and allow us to get support from Kiwanis International, provide insurance for all of our events, and attend workshops to learn about the best ways to serve our neighbors. We are also a part of the Miramar/Pembroke Pines Regional Chamber of Commerce giving us a way to network with local businesses and spread the love for service.
